We are what we eat. We hear that all the time. But eating healthy is also the first and most important step to losing weight. After all our ancestors were not obese. They did not have access to pills and drugs and processed foods. They just ate whole foods from the earth.

They also exercised more, but like I said before, diet is the very most important thing to get right if you want to lose those pounds once and for all.

4 simple steps to eating healthy

-Eat whole foods. This is basically foods that are not made in a lab, but come from the earth or an animal. Think of apples, blueberries, carrots, nuts, eggs etc. These give your body everything it needs to function properly. -Eat a balanced diet

- Eat a diet made up of protein, vegetables, fruit, healthy fats, and some whole grains. Healthy fats include olive oil, coconut oil, avocados and fish.

-Stay away from the “frankenfoods”. These are foods that have been genetically modified. They are also made in a lab.

-Don’t eat processed foods. These do more harm to your body than good because they are high in sugar and artificial sweeteners. They are much higher in calories than whole foods with hardly any nutritional value. And they make you feel hungrier. Basically they make you gain weight.

Conclusion Eating healthy is in my opinion the best step to losing weight. You will also feel great this way and take care of your body. Eating healthy to lose weight include eating a balanced diet of whole foods, and staying away from “fankenfoods” and the processed foods.

Everyone thinks that in order to lose weight, one has to starve herself. That’s what I thought too – for years. I even tried extreme calorie deficit diets – it was, word-for-word, starving. But even that didn’t bring any meaningful results, and on top of everything it made me lose my health. But then I found something that made me transform my body…

Starving yourself, or limiting your calorie intake extremely, is not the fastest way to lose weight. But it is the most unhealthy, and most painful way to do so. When your intake is that little, the body thinks there’s an emergency, and turns on the “emergency mode” in your body, meaning it tries to conserve every last bit of energy; and thus slows down energy consumption, meaning weight loss.

Yes, you do need a calorie deficit in your diet in order to lose weight. However, this doesn’t mean that anything other than “starving yourself” won’t work – in fact, if you do it the way I did it, it is going to be MUCH faster and MUCH healthier!

Calorie deficit doesn’t always mean you have to be hungry. If you get enough nutrients, and something from every nutrient group, you will never feel hungry. Let me explain.

Your body, being a very complex and composite system, needs a lot of different groups of nutrients / foods. If you don’t give your body what it needs, after that point it doesn’t matter what you eat, and how much you eat. Whatever you do, your body will still need that nutrient. It will crave that nutrient, making you hungry. That is why sometimes you never seem to stop being hungry no matter how much you eat!

Trust me – if you get enough nutrients in different groups of food, you can maintain a calorie deficit, not be hungry, be healthy, and thus lose fat since your body is thriving.

Burning fat is a hard process – it needs your body to be effective. If you give your body what it needs it will be very active, thrive, and shed all that fat like crazy – you won’t believe the results!
