There are people who think, you need to do more than just a workout in order to get well shaped abs. While others think you lose fat around your stomach just by working out on your abs. Which one of these thoughts is correct? Let me tell you how exactly you can get well shaped abs.

First of all, you need to understand that you do not lose fat when you do any sort of workout. You lose calories when you workout. And when you do resistance training, i.e. muscle building workouts, you brake your muscle tissues. And these muscles get repaired and become stronger when you rest. In that process muscles help burning fat from your body.

Secondly, if you wish to get well shaped abs, then working out to build muscles and then rest to burn fat alone won’t help. When we talk about abs, it’s important to learn that it’s all about Diet and not about Workout. You need to have a good and healthy diet routine (along with the exercise of course) in order to lose fat.

An average human body has about 18% of fat in male, and about 24% of fat in female. Now you need to bring this level down to about 11% for male and about 17% for female. This can be done with the combination of Healthy Diet and a Workout Routine.

Another important fact to remember is that you never lose fat from a single part of your body. When you lose fat, you lose it from your entire body. So in conclusion, it’s correct and wise to think that you need to consider number of factors and need to do more than just a workout to get well shaped abs.
