It’s easy to understand them, since what they need is that you STAY overweight, so they have a lifetime customer of the industry.
When you hear about the true way of weight loss – the way I did – you too will become convinced that; this true way is so against what we have been hearing in the ads that it must be being hidden from people, so they don’t know. Now, on to what it is…
To this day you have been told that to lose weight you need to spend hours at the treadmill, or a similar low intensity / long duration exercise. You’re told that you will burn fat during the exercise… which is completely right. You do burn fat during the exercise.
During the rest period, however… which, coincidentally, is much longer than the exercising time… you GAIN fat, is what they don’t tell you, and it is how they fooled me for years. Yes, your body tries hard to replace the fat it just lost, simply because of the fact that it wants to be ready for the next time. The body has an incredible adaptation ability and this is it, in full effect.
That is why hours at the treadmill will never lose you serious amounts of fat – you need to BURN fat during resting, not BUILD it.
How to do it, then? The answer is very simple – but it has been evading us for years. You do heavy resistance training, and your body will try to build muscle while you are RESTING… building muscle requires incredible amounts of energy, which will be withdrawn from the flabby fat deposits.

If you really want to lose weight you just need to get off your couch and do something. That doesn’t mean running a marathon, but it just means being active. One of the best examples that I can give is that instead of watching television you can go for a walk and listen to a podcast on your iPod. There are a bunch of easy things to do to lose weight.
Also, probably the most important thing you need to do is start following a weight loss diet. Once you get on your way with something like that you can be on your way to losing serious weight. For example, some people will do a bunch of things to lose weight, but they can’t quite figure out what was working. By using a diet program you will always know what you are doing right. Just make sure that you eat right and walk a bit.
Losing belly fat is one of the hardest areas to lose weight when it comes to dieting. There needs to be a combination of things you must do if you are going to lose that stubborn area of belly fat. You must combine healthy eating habits with exercise. You cannot do one without the other. They feed off each other. This article is for people like me who do not have an incredible amount of weight to lose. I would say if you are trying to lose 20-30 pounds, then the following article will apply to you. Let’s start off with the exercises. To some, this is something of a foreign concept. It doesn’t have to be difficult to get in 30 minutes of exercise every single day. Before starting any exercise program, please consult your doctor to get the okay. Once you have been given the green light, don’t just jump in and do all kinds of exercises right away. You will either hurt yourself, or burn yourself out to soon to see any results. What you will want to do is start off slowly. If you have never run before, then I suggest walking. Walking just thirty minutes a day can help you jump start the weight loss.
If you really want to get a great start to your weight loss, then you need to incorporate some form of weight lifting routine. When I say weight lifting, this doesn’t mean going on a program straight out of Muscle and Fitness Magazine. No, what I am talking about requires very light weight. You could even start off with a set of 5 to 10 pound dumbbells. Start out by doing a full body workout just three days a week. You will need to do just 2 sets of 10-12 reps of the following exercises:

The last exercise you will want to perform covers several areas of the body. You stand with your feet shoulder width apart, dumbbells to your side. You will lower the dumbbells to the ground, then raise the dumbbells all the way back up to the shoulder press position. From the shoulder press position, you will then lift the weight over your head. Then you will make your way back down to the floor. Remember to keep the weight as close to the body as possible as an injury can occur.
You can combine walking with the exercise routine above and have a really good fat burning workout. I will usually walk or run at least three times a week and then do this exercise program at least three times a week. Always take a rest day to do whatever you want that is considered active recovery. Now, for the hard part and that is changing your lifestyle by eating healthy.
I use the diet solution program to control my eating habits. I hate to use the word diet as this usually indicates a fad that will only be temporary. The diet solution program is more of a change in lifestyle than it is a diet book. One note about losing belly fat. The reason its the hardest area to lose weight is due to what we fuel our bodies with. Some of us can eat all kinds of carbohydrates and lose weight while others of us can eat tons of protein. You need to find out what food type you are.
The diet solution program has an excellent test I used to figure out what type I am. To my amazement, I am a protein type. That means I can eat steak, chicken and many other meats. Of course, all eating must be in moderation as with anything in life. To much of any one thing other than money can be a bad thing. What has helped me the most out of this program is the fact that I can eat essentially all the foods I love except for one and that is starchy carbohydrates. Thankfully, I get to eat all kinds of heavier protein choices such as whole eggs and dark meat poultry which of course are my favorite foods. I can also have some grains, fruits and vegetables as long as I balance them with my proteins.
There are some foods I simply must stay away from if I am ever going to lose my stubborn belly fat. The number one thing I need to stay away from is processed foods. Unlike what we’ve all been lead to believe, saturated fat is not the cause of disease; refined carbohydrates, processed foods, and hydrogenated oils are. If you are looking to lose your belly fat, then maybe its time you incorporate a good exercise program and healthy eating lifestyle such as mentioned in this article.
