Today I met a guy with an average body. His weight is about 165lbs and height is about 6 feet. For the guy having this height, 165lbs is a normal weight. So he asked me if it’s possible to get six pack abs without losing his weight. I thought to write an article on this as many people would have the same question this guy is having.
First of all you need to understand that you require to lose excess fat from your stomach in order for abs to be visible. Now you cannot lose fat from a particular area in your body. When you lose fat, you lose it from your entire body. So when you lose fat, you are certainly going to lose your weight.
In order to maintain your weight while losing fat, you need to convert fat into building muscles. i.e. You need a weight training along with losing fat in order to maintain your normal weight. When you workout, you lose excess fat and that fat converts into your muscle mass. This way you achieve your goal of losing excess body fat while maintaining normal weight. In fact, this is the safest and most recommend way to a healthy lifestyle.
When we talk about losing fat, it is important to concentrate more on diet than on workout. Workout may help you lose some fat and build muscles, but if you do not control your diet, the fat level isn’t going to get down easily, especially from your stomach area. Setup a good and healthy diet routine and stick to it until you get a total body fat percentage to about 11%.
Lose Fat By Eating The Right Way – You Can Maintain A Big Calorie Deficit Without Ever Being Hungry!
Everyone thinks that in order to lose weight, one has to starve herself. That’s what I thought too – for years. I even tried extreme calorie deficit diets – it was, word-for-word, starving. But even that didn’t bring any meaningful results, and on top of everything it made me lose my health. But then I found something that made me transform my body…
Starving yourself, or limiting your calorie intake extremely, is not the fastest way to lose weight. But it is the most unhealthy, and most painful way to do so. When your intake is that little, the body thinks there’s an emergency, and turns on the “emergency mode” in your body, meaning it tries to conserve every last bit of energy; and thus slows down energy consumption, meaning weight loss.
Yes, you do need a calorie deficit in your diet in order to lose weight. However, this doesn’t mean that anything other than “starving yourself” won’t work – in fact, if you do it the way I did it, it is going to be MUCH faster and MUCH healthier!
Calorie deficit doesn’t always mean you have to be hungry. If you get enough nutrients, and something from every nutrient group, you will never feel hungry. Let me explain.
Your body, being a very complex and composite system, needs a lot of different groups of nutrients / foods. If you don’t give your body what it needs, after that point it doesn’t matter what you eat, and how much you eat. Whatever you do, your body will still need that nutrient. It will crave that nutrient, making you hungry. That is why sometimes you never seem to stop being hungry no matter how much you eat!
Trust me – if you get enough nutrients in different groups of food, you can maintain a calorie deficit, not be hungry, be healthy, and thus lose fat since your body is thriving.
Burning fat is a hard process – it needs your body to be effective. If you give your body what it needs it will be very active, thrive, and shed all that fat like crazy – you won’t believe the results!
